Welcome to the Australian International School - Vietnam

Welcome to the Australian International School - Vietnam

Mr Peter O'Sullivan Principal

AIS combines academic rigour with challenging and enriching experiences. Our students are confident, creative individuals who see learning as an integral part of life beyond the classroom.

Whether you are a first time visitor, or a returning one, you will undoubtedly recognise the depth and breadth of curriculum and co-curricular activities in our dynamic school.

Our academic focus encourages students to appreciate that commitment to learning brings success and many options for the future. Our curriculum supports the individual strengths and talents of our students so that they are excited by learning and embrace challenges with a belief in their own ability.

Children today have a different understanding and perception of the world to the one we had during our childhood years. Their lives reach far beyond the local community. With the increasing pace with which students are using technology, their world is fast, open and immediate. AIS provides students with an enriched technological learning environment, with teachers constantly up-skilling their knowledge, vision and teaching strategies to provide an effective, exciting place of innovation and learning in the classroom.

Throughout the School, our teachers encourage the students to "think outside the box", which is becoming an increasingly important skill in 21st century.

The dynamic nature of society will see our children living adult lives in a vastly different world. Our challenge as educators and parents is to prepare them with appropriate knowledge, attitudes, values and skills to navigate their future.

Our aim at AIS is to encourage students to:

  • think well with flexibility and reflection
  • listen with understanding and empathy
  • communicate with clarity and sensitivity
  • become knowledgeable and capable learners
  • strive for excellence and their personal best
  • develop values that are necessary for a rewarding and fulfilling life

AIS is a school where children are engaged, stimulated and challenged within the safe confines of a supportive and cooperative environment. The students share friendships, deep learning and an educational experience that challenges them to extend their individual limits though the curriculum, rich co-curricular activities, sports, camps and community service.

For a parent, selecting a school for your child requires careful consideration. It needs to be a school that supports your family's values and provides a rigorous academic foundation during the important school years. We warmly invite you to contact us to discuss any questions you may have. What is important to you is important to us, as we partner together in educating your child.
